Thame's stand in the NEC

Good Response from Tooling Show

Despite comments about the state of the economy, Thame enjoyed a good response to the recent Tooling Show at the NEC.

We would like to thank all those of you who visited our stand at the show and we look forward to contacting you again during our follow-ups.

Shown for the first time at a UK exhibition were the Parlec vices, Witte modelling system and a new range of vacuum clamping plates.

  Parlec Vices
A recent addition to the Thame range is the Parlec portfolio of machine vices. The vice, which is operated manually or hydraulically, is a modular design with quick change over and accurate repositioning of jaws.

For a full demonstration of the Parlec system please contact our sales office

Magic Chuck
Thame have recently completed manufacture and installation of a special vacuum-chucking package to allow machining of replacement hip joints.

The design of the chuck features a unique indexing feature that allows the joint to be tilted from 0° to 10° or 15° during the machining cycle. The chuck has revolutionised the machining of hip joints by eliminating several operations and significantly reducing cycle time.
